As many of you know the WPQG has been invited back to the Tarpon Springs Cultural Center for a Special Exhibit in Oct/Nov 2009. This makes the 4th time WPQG has been asked to exhibit at TSCC. The first time was in 2004 after we were recommended based on our 2004 Quilt Show, then again in 2005 and 2007. More details will be published in the coming months.

The reputation of our guild Quilt Shows and Special Exhibits has drawn the attention of another city …..

The City of Oldsmar has contacted us and asked if we would be able to put together a quilt exhibit at their City Hall during the summer of 2009. We are pleased to announce that we are adding this venue to our list of Special Exhibits!!! We will be exhibiting in Oldsmar July/August 2009.

With these two events scheduled prior to our 2010 Quilt Show, this provides a wonderful opportunity to promote our show to the public by previewing your beautiful quilts.

Both shows will be Florida themed with a “Florida – Welcome to our Paradise” challenge for the Tarpon Springs Cultural Center and a "Quilters Gathering" with demos and fun planned for both shows. So watch the newsletter and the website for the details.

Robby Wargny and Mary Borders are the Co-chairs of these events and our committee is working to refine all the details for you.
