Big Quilt Group
First Monday - Daytime
Hi! I am Vi McConnell. Our group meets at the Holiday Recreation
Center on Moog Road on the 1st Monday of each month, from 9:30 to 3:30pm
October thru May. We are an informal group of women who come and go as
we please. We recognized that many of our members needed a large table
to “sandwich” their bed size quilts, hence our name. We are able to
provide those tables, but you don’t have to work on a large quilt in
order to join us. Bring whatever project you are working on, your own
supplies, from machine to extension cords. We have tables and wall
outlets. There are many talented ladies in the group, who will always
help you out with your quilting questions and needs. So bring a bag
lunch and join this great group of quilting friends.

1st Friday Sit and
Stitch
First Friday - Daytime
Nita Fox and Sue Gillespie co-coordinate for this group. We meet on the 1st
Friday of each month-se. Our
meeting time is 9:15-3pm. Come when you can - leave when you must. Bring
a brown bag lunch as we have kitchen facilities available. Bring
whatever you want to work on. If you need help with sandwiching, please
bring it along and we'll help you put it together. Our group varies from
10 to 25 members on any given month. No officers, rules, dues, etc. We
like to have a “Show and Tell” just prior to lunch, and in the case of a
larger group being present, we will go around and introduce each other
and the projects that we’re working on. This is a great place to
socialize and meet new quilting friends from the guild, get new ideas,
or even give a few. We have so many talented quilters here, you’re sure
to get that answer you have been looking for. Look forward to seeing
you!

Fabulous Last Friday Group
Last Friday - Daytime
Our group meets the last Friday of the month at the West Pasco
Historical Society in downtown New Port Richey. The museum is located
around Orange Lake at 6431 Circle Blvd. NPR 34652 - just across the
street from Sims Park. This group is new and I would like to make it a
time to share with each other. Bring whatever you are working on and we
will take some time to show and tell and help each other as needed with
sandwiching quilts, suggestions or help with sewing problems. We will
meet from 10:00AM. till 2:00 PM. so bring a lunch or snack. We will have
some special times to learn new projects, possibly take field trips,
sewing in the park and may work on charity items as needed. Mark your
calendars for the last Friday of the month and I look forward to seeing
you there. All are welcome and bring a friend.

Tuesday Evening
Nimblers
Every Tuesday - Evening
Join us EVERY Tuesday evening from 6-10PM at the Contractors Institute
Learning Center located at 15409 US Hwy 19 Hudson 34667 (about 1/2 mile
north of New York Avenue on the west side of US 19 in Hudson – look for
the billboard). Our group focus is hand quilting and we appreciate the
participation of anyone who wishes to join in (we’ll gladly teach total
beginners and are very grateful for experienced hands). We work on lap,
hoop, and frame applications - come and help with one of the boutique or
charity quilts that we are always working to finish. Not a hand quilter?
NO problem - you’re welcome to bring your own project - the Learning
Center has plenty of room (and tables) to sandwich, layout or work on
whatever project you’re involved in.
Come spend an evening with friends
– everyone is welcome.
