Mission Statement:
The West Pasco Quilters' Guild, Inc., provides charity within our community and quality education to the public about quilts and quilt making.
Our General Meetings are held the third Thursday of each month at 10:00 a.m. with the doors opening at 9:00 a.m. to allow time to visit and participate with the different committee groups before the meeting starts.
The New Port Richey Recreation & Aquatic Center, 6630 Van Buren Street, New Port Richey, Florida hosts our meetings except June and July when our meetings are held at Contractors Institute Learning Center, 15417 US Hwy 19 (Joliet Street), Hudson. Meeting times remain the same.
Our Guild has a strong philanthropic foundation and we provide both monetary and in-kind donations to Pasco County and the surrounding community.
Educating the community about quilting and sharing our knowledge with others, through classes and programs for our members and visitors, is equally important.
Membership is open to any and all who are interested in the art of quilting. Feel free to visit our meetings. We do have a visitor fee of $5.00 that will be applied to your membership dues if you decide to join the Guild at the meeting; $10 if we have a national teacher program. This fee is to help offset the cost of the programs we provide.
WPQG enjoys a strong record of philanthropy and leadership in the community. In our ongoing service to the community, we are involved with many Outreach Projects that touch many in the community.
We offer a wide variety of quilting classes with local and national teachers. Classes that cover all skill levels and techniques are available including beginner, intermediate to advanced and cover everything from measuring to cutting and piecing along with appliqué and quilting by machine or by hand. You name it we teach it. Classes are currently available to members only. Please consider joining our Guild as one of the benefits is a discount on classes.
We also maintain an extensive LIBRARY where members can check out books and magazines. You will also find periodic sales and freebies.
When you join the West Pasco Quilters' Guild, you will not only enjoy the fellowship at our meetings and small groups, but you will enjoy all the benefits our membership offers. Please click the FIND OUT MORE button below .

MARK YOUR CALENDAR FOR OUR 2026 QUILT SHOW -
FEBRUARY 13-14-15, 2026
Our QUILT SHOW is held in even numbered years and entries are open to all current Guild members. We display over 300 quilts and have many vendors, a boutique and a small quilt auction along with opportunities to participate in special events held during the Show.
The Show is usually held in February and the hours are Friday & Saturday 9 to 5 and Sunday 10 to 4 held at the New Port Richey Recreation & Aquatic Center, 6630 Van Buren Street, New Port Richey, Florida.
A Quilt of Valor® (QOV) is a quality, handmade quilt that is machine or hand quilted. It is awarded to a Service Member or Veteran who has been touched by war. The Quilt says unequivocally, “Thank you for your service and sacrifice in serving our nation.”
To use the term Quilt of Valor, Quilts of Valor or QOV, the quilt must be a specific size, must have a label with required information, it must be awarded (it is not a gift) and it must be recorded.
The WPQG awards QOV quilts in conjunction with our biennial Quilt Show.
We are an all volunteer group and our Guild has many committees that work together to make things happen. When you visit a meeting, you will be greeted by a member of our Membership Committee. They will find another member to assist you and answer all your questions. Feel free to grab a chair and sit with each committee for a while to understand what they do and where you may fit in if you want to help out. This is the easiest way to get to know others and make friends. Don't be shy, jump in!
WPQG was founded in 1988, by a group of caring quilters wanting to share their love of quilting while reaching out to help meet the needs of others in Pasco County, Florida. Since then, our membership and charity outreach has continued to grow with the needs of our community.
The Board Meetings are held on the first Thursday of the month and start at 10:00 am., at New Port Richey Recreation & Aquatic Center, 6630 Van Buren Street, New Port Richey, Florida. All members are welcome to attend.
Please, if you are sick, be considerate and do not attend meetings or small group gatherings.
