Every year, the members of the WPQG produce a bed sized quilt and sell opportunity tickets to the public to raise money for a local charity. There are many opportunities to view the quilt and purchase tickets, when the quilt is displayed around the community at different events.
One or two members are chosen yearly to coordinate this project and they enlist the help of many of our Guild members. This is a two-year commitment as it takes one year to complete the quilt and another year to sell the 5,000 (plus) chances.
Our new Opportunity Quilt for the 2024 is "Windows to the World". Nominations for recipients of the funds raised by this quilt were made by Guild members in late 2022.
The final decision on the charity has been made.
TICKETS ARE NOW AVAILABLE.
100% of the monies raised from ticket sales will benefit the chosen charity.

2024 "WINDOWS TO THE WORLD"
Each year our members nominate organizations that require assistance with meeting the needs in our community.
The TOYMAKERS.ORG has been chosen to be the recipient of 100% of the funds raised from ticket sales from
our Guild's 2023-2024 Charity
Opportunity tickets will be for sale at all West Pasco Quilters' Guild meetings along with other events being held in the community.

We are a not-for-profit corporation - IRS approved 501 (c)(3) - organization that consists entirely of volunteers who make simple wooden toys for sick and needy children. No one receives any compensation for their time. 100% of all donations that we receive goes to the supplies and material required to make these toys. All of our toys are designed to be safe and contain no nails, screws, or staples. We use child-safe paint and round off all sharp corners. Since 1982, we have donated over 425,000 toys to sick and needy children primarily in the Tampa Bay area of Florida but also to other countries through missionary and military friends.
