Every year, the members of the WPQG produce a bed sized quilt and sell opportunity tickets to the public to raise money for a local charity. There are many opportunities to view the quilt and purchase tickets, when the quilt is displayed around the community at different events.
One or two members are chosen yearly to coordinate this project and they enlist the help of many of our Guild members. This is a two-year commitment as it takes one year to complete the quilt and another year to sell the 5,000 (plus) chances.
Our new Opportunity Quilt for the 2024 is "Windows to the World". Nominations for recipients of the funds raised by this quilt will be made by Guild members in late 2022. The final decision on the charity will be made in early 2023. Tickets will be made available once they are printed in early 2023. 100% of the monies raised from ticket sales will benefit the chosen charity.
Check back for updates.
